Uninvited Guests make innovative performance and multimedia that combines high-tech with low tech, the visceral with the virtual.
The collaborative team of Richard Dufty, Jessica Hoffmann and Paul Clarke founded Uninvited Guests in 1998. In 2003, we saw their live art performance Offline at the Camden People’s Theatre. There was something about the directness of their relationship with the audience and the found source material that they used to reflect the world back out to the audience that was utterly compelling. At BAC we programmed their forthright and visually frenzied piece Schlock. They asked us to become their producers in 2005 and have worked with them ever since. We love the way they play with what’s real and what’s not, combining high and low tech and often inviting the audience to participate in different ways.
Uninvited Guests are currently supported by the Esmeé Fairbairn Foundation.
