I studied American History at the University of Sussex before going on to do a PGDip in Cultural Management at City University. My experience in the arts has been quite varied: from my beginnings as a box office assistant in Brighton, to manager of an audience development project working with people on council estates to communications manager at the Jerwood Charitable Foundation, via a range of freelance producing jobs with independent live artists and a 1950s club night, which I co-produced in London for 2 years.

I love theatre because I enjoy being asked to see things in a different way.
