The Good Neighbour

You and up to 4 friends can pick up a beautiful converted instrument from Battersea Arts Centre's box office, and take the lead in Uninvited Guests’ improbable band, spilling out onto the streets of Battersea. No musicianship necessary, this unconventional audio tour takes you to the places where Battersea’s radical past collides with the present. This is a story of two fires separated by 100 years, based on accounts from local people of bravery, kindness and radical thinking.

Uninvited Guests and Lewis Gibson have created this audio tour of Battersea based on the theatrical guided tour performed live by the company as part of The Good Neighbour in 2012.

Audience members ‘hire an instrument’ or ‘book a performance’ for £5. Each performance is recommended for no more than 5 people. The person who made the booking is responsible for collecting and returning the instrument at Box Office. There are select performances available to book online, however you can arrive in person at box office and hire an instrument at any time between midday and 8pm Tuesday- Saturday.
