“London’s hottest new spoken word talent.” The Times
Inua Ellams is a poet, writer, teacher and performer. In 2010 he was long-listed for the Alfred Fagan Award for playwrights of African and Caribbean descent.
Kate saw the beginnings of Inua’s first show, The 14th Tale, at BAC in 2008. It was brilliantly written and involved poetic, surprising and challenging text that made us look at the world differently.
As well as being a truly original writer, Inua is a hugely engaging performer. We helped him develop The 14th Tale until it premiered in Edinburgh, winning a Fringe First, toured the UK and finally ran at the National Theatre.
We are now really pleased to be developing new projects with him. He’s young, almost overwhelmingly talented and a nice bloke to boot. We want as many people as possible to see his work.
