Applications Open for the Emma Gladstone Award
Posted on: 9th October 2025
Applications are open for the Emma Gladstone Award, established in February 2025 to honour the legacy of Emma Gladstone OBE (1960–2024) — a visionary dance producer and tireless advocate for artists and producers across the dance sector.
Each year, one dance producer will be awarded £7,000 to support international travel and research, enabling them to expand their creative practice, build new connections, and develop transformative ideas for the field.
A rotating international panel will select a recipient whose proposal demonstrates innovation, ambition, and a commitment to growing their producing capacity.
Emma Gladstone’s influence on dance — from her leadership at Sadler’s Wells and Dance Umbrella, to her involvement with Producer Farm and the Big Pulse Dance Alliance — has shaped artists and festivals worldwide. This annual award continues her legacy of supporting and empowering others in the field.
Applications are open until 30 October 2025.
The first recipient will be announced in February 2026.
