FLIP! Radio Adaptation Announced
Posted on: 8th April 2026
Fuel presents the radio premiere of FLIP! by Racheal Ofori, directed by Milli Bhatia, airing on BBC Radio 4 on 14 May 2026 at 2.15pm.
Adapted from Ofori’s acclaimed stage play, FLIP! marks Fuel’s first radio production for BBC Radio. Recorded at the Soundhouse, the production features a standout cast including Cassie Clare, Diana Yekinni,Pearl Mackie, Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́ and Tia Bannon.
FLIP! introduces listeners to Carleen and Crystal – sharp-tongued influencers whose cultural commentary has captured a fast-growing online audience. While Carleen questions the authenticity of their digital personas, she remains drawn to Crystal’s ambition, even as it leads them toward FLIP!, a powerful new social media platform promising everything they’ve ever wanted.
This biting satire explores the tension between authenticity and algorithm in a digital world that thrives on disposability.
Originally co-commissioned by Fuel and Soho Theatre as part of Soho Six, FLIP! was first staged in 2023 in association with Alphabetti Theatre, touring Newcastle, Edinburgh, and London.
Special thanks to FLIP!’s original stage team: Leah St Luce, Jadesola Odunjo, Emily Aboud, Anna Robinson, KJ, Eliyana Evans, Aline David, Heather Basten, Iman Wilson, Nikita Bala, Stella Kailides, Phyllys Egharevba, Nicky Tyler, and Myah Jeffers.
