Fuel is Hiring: Executive Director (Maternity Cover)

Fuel is seeking an experienced and values-driven Executive Director to cover maternity leave for a twelve-month fixed term from June 2026.

The Executive Director is a pivotal senior leadership role contributing to the organisation’s strategic, artistic, operational and financial wellbeing, working closely with Fuel’s Artistic Director & CEO Kate McGrath.

The role includes responsibility for operations, finance, fundraising, communications and people management, as well as deputising for the Artistic Director & CEO when required. Fuel is looking for a collaborative leader with strong financial literacy, fundraising experience and a passion for contemporary theatre.

The position is open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, with hybrid working and flexible or part-time options available.

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 FTE
Contract: 12 months, fixed term
Start date: Ideally 29 June 2026
