Fuel Presents Tonight We Fly

Tonight We Fly was a festival of events across Leeds that ran from 30 October to 3 November 2018.

We invited participants to reflect on the past, consider the present and celebrate our hopes for the future. The festival events consisted of opportunities to share conversations and ideas, food and drink, performances and installations.

The full programme consisted of presentations of Love Letters Straight from your Heart, The Preston Bill, Summit, The Kids Are Alright and The Day I Fell Into a Book. Fuel also presented immersive installations, Charlie Ward and Lock Her Up at Leeds Town Hall in partnership with The Leeds International Film Festival. We held workshops, discussions and conversations about Brexit Britain, poetry, art, science, community and what’s around the corner with guest artists and academics. We also hosted community meals at Slung Low with guest artists leading challenging and engaging conversations with our guests.

Tonight We Fly was a collaboration between Fuel, The Holbeck, Leeds International Film Festival, Leeds Library, Leeds Town Hall, Live Art Bistro, Slung Low, Transform and University of Leeds.’
