Fuel presents Uninvited Guests’ It Is Like It Ought To Be: A Pastoral
Share some scrumpy, and stay awhile.
Let’s found Arcadia in the theatre, a rural idyll amongst the city’s hubbub.
In the guise of some ragtag band, Uninvited Guests invented fake songs and fake dances for our green and plastic land. They declaimed hip Romantic poetry, conjured epic landscapes, and attempted a return to some simpler life, a golden age. They gave thanks for what we have and offered prayers to make better please, make better.
After immersing themselves in horror movies for their previous show Schlock, Uninvited Guests were looking for some curative retreat. They took refuge in pastoral romance and the search for an impossible utopia.
