Clod Ensemble and Fuel present The Red Chair

Written & performed by Sarah Cameron

Clod Ensemble brought audiences the fabulous tale of a man who eats himself into the chair he is sitting upon, the woman doomed to cook his meals, and their one ‘inveesible child’.

Told in luscious Scottish dialect, Sarah Cameron’s virtuosic solo performance won a standing ovation and an Argus Angel Award at Brighton Festival this year.

You can listen to the three-part podcast version of The Red Chair performed by Sarah Cameron.

A delicious feast for the ears and the imagination, The Red Chair comes served with tasty nibbles, lashings of dark humour and a dram of whisky to oil the way.

"☆☆☆☆☆ A tour de force brawly spoken!"

Edinburgh Guide

"This woman has spark. There are not many people that can truly pull off an almost two-hour show by themselves, but Sarah Cameron manages her self-written narrative with ease and charisma."

Three Weeks

"Fantasmagorical, exuberant, deliciously surreal… Cameron performed with breathtaking bravura. "
