Take Your Seat

Welcome to Take Your Seat, Fuel’s FREE tickets initiative aimed at schools, community groups and grassroots networks.

We believe in the transformative power of theatre and of the arts, and we know the value of accessing enriching experiences that fulfil creative potential. We want the arts to be for all, not for the few; and we are aware that this is a challenge.

For this reason, we are committed to offering 10% of tickets across our productions for free, to make it easier for groups facing socio-economic barriers to enjoy our shows and engage with our programme.

Do you run a community group?

Do you work for a state school in an area underserved for arts provision?

Do you work with groups of young people or vulnerable adults?

Do you volunteer for a grassroots organisation or charity?

Do you run a foodbank?

The list of possible groups we work with is endless. No matter what your group is, we want to make it easier for your group to enjoy our shows and Take Your Seat!

 How does it work?

Email us on [email protected] and let us know:

– Who you are and about your community group/participants

– Where you are based

– Whether you are interested in one of our productions currently on tour, or would like to register and be contacted when we come to your area

– Whether your group would be interested in an engagement activity connected to a show: a workshop, a post-show talk, etc.

Please be aware that, on each show, we have a set allocation of Take Your Seat tickets. They get allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Should we not be able to offer your group free tickets, we might be able to look into a bespoke discount.

Our team will follow up and provide all the information to complete the registration or book your tickets.

Get involved

There is no limit to the size of the group we work with. Browse our website to see productions taking place in your area and email our Engagement team to learn more about our offers on [email protected] .

Interested in creative learning resources available alongside the shows? Sign up to Fuel Engage, our free online learning platform, and explore the programmes available.

We are keen on developing local audiences and trusting relationships with local artists, companies and organisations inside and outside of the arts. If anything would make it easier for you to attend a show, please tell us.

"Thank you again, the kids, teachers, and community members had a great time seeing Protest this afternoon. It’s a great piece, beautifully put together, and the cast were fantastic. The kids stayed with it throughout, which is amazing for any young person in these days of swipe for stimuli – and as a first time to theatre audience speaks of the quality of the work and their connection to it."

Quote from teacher, Newcastle

"Many thanks again for the amazing performances and workshops for The 14th Tale, which our students have really enjoyed. There is a real buzz talking about this in lessons and they have really enjoyed seeing something so relatable to them. Being able to see someone that looks like you on stage is invaluable. Some of them now want to be actors!"

Quote from teacher, London

"What I liked most about the Protest session is knowing my feelings are important."

Quote from a workshop participant

"Today, because of the Protest workshop I was inspired to stand up for something that matters to me. More spaces for women! Please always let me know if you run these opportunities"

Quote from a workshop participant

"I just wanted to say a massive thank you personally and from the team for providing us with the chance to take some of our residents to see the FLIP! show. It was the perfect end to the week. Myself and the residents who attended (many of whom have never visited or heard of the Soho theatre before) thoroughly enjoyed the engaging and funny performance"

Quote from an audience member

"As a disabled person as well, the opportunity to enjoy theatre without having to leave my house was honestly euphoric and again, felt really empowering. Thank you so much for the opportunity to be a part of it and to hear the incredible work being done. I really appreciate it very deeply, especially all the running round you had to do to get us sorted!"
