Dance like no one is watching with DeadClub™ at Home

Posted on: 28th May 2020

DeadClub™ is open to those who are not dead yet. The recently dead need not apply.

Back from the dead, the immense dance production that is DeadClub will be bursting onto your screens with an archive recording on Thursday 18th June as part of The Place Online.

Between two heartbeats, the light creeps closer and closer to your number. It won’t be everyone, but it might be you. Now there is only the present moment. Everything unfolds second by second and it’s loud and hot and the body works as if by magic. Now the real trouble begins.

Informed by research into memory distortion following traumatic events, the seats in each venue were removed and the audiences placed right into the middle of the whole mess.

Commissioned by The Place, co-produced by The Place and Fuel, and supported using public funding by the Arts Council England and the Wellcome Trust. Composer, Dave Price was supported by the PRS Foundation’s The Open Fund for Music Creators. David Price gratefully also received support from PRS for Music Foundation.
