Richard Dufty

Performer, Deviser, Writer & Producer

Richard is one of the Artistic Directors of Uninvited Guests alongside Jess Hoffmann and Paul Clarke. Richard has been making theatre, installation, and digital projects with the company since 2000. In all projects, Richard has been involved in, he has served as performer, deviser, and writer.

Akiya Henry

Actor

Akiya is a talented stage and screen actress. She has numerous film and television credits, including on BBC's Casualty and Little Britain. Akiya recently starred at Lady Macbeth in Kit Monkman's film adaptation of Macbeth.

Akiya is a regular collaborator with the National Theatre, RSC and Young Vic. Akiya was also in the original cast of Swallows and Amazons (West End and Tour), starred as Hermia in the smash-hit international touring production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and as dual roles of Medea and Maddy in the all-female cast of Medea, all produced by Bristol Old Vic.

Akiya voices the role of Amma in the emmy-winning CBeebies series BING, Adaline in the award-winning Netflix series HILDA, Lil' Sue in THE RUBBISH WORLD OF DAVE SPUD, and she is currently voicing the role of Snork Maiden in the animated series of MOOMINVALLEY.

Rachael Young

Artist & Writer

Rachael Young is an award-winning artist and writer based between Nottingham and London. Their transdisciplinary practice exists on the boundaries of live art, text, movement, activism, and neurodiversity. Their work provides a shelter from which to explore the multiplicities of their lived experience. They use evolving practice to hold space for those at the intersection of multiple realities championing and centering alternative narratives and forms.

Rachael is a recipient of the Jerwood Live Work Fund and was the Inaugural winner of the Eclipse Award, which supported Edinburgh Fringe 2019 runs of NIGHTCLUBBING and OUT, where both shows were nominated for Total Theatre awards and Rachael was named the British Council's Artists to Watch. Rachael was recently appointed as Associate Artists with Something to Aim For.

Herstory - a visual audio experience as part of Brighton Festival

Blacklash - a series of informal discussions providing Black Artists with a chance to reflect on their practice and their position within the wider arts sector, hosted by the Gate Theatre

In 2020 Rachael's writing was performed as part of My White Best Friend, a curated programme at the Royal Court in 2020. Their work is presented widely across the UK and internationally including The Place, The Yard, Skopje Pride, Live Collision (Dublin), Theatre de L'Usine (Geneva), and ImPulsTanz (Vienna International Dance Festival)
