Ten Years From Now

Created by Gareth Fry

Remember how you saw the world when you were ten?

Ten Years From Now is an invitation to imagine the world ten years from now, through the curious eyes of ten year olds.

It is also a sound installation in an ice cream van. Ice cream vans hold a magical place in every child’s imagination, even in a world saturated by choice.

You can find an ice cream van everywhere in the UK – parks, town centres, housing estates and beaches. Our calling siren is a message to all – come and meet your friends and have a treat.

On 6th June we will share some initial sound ideas that have been developed through workshops with young people from Greenfields Primary and Rockingham Primary schools. From 12noon – 8pm look out for special listening stations around  Corby Cube and tell us what you think of the soundscapes we have made.

Design: Lizzie Watts

Associate Sound Designer: Pete Malkin

Research and development with schools in partnership with Made in Corby and The Core at Corby Cube.
